ceramic ball valves

Material of ceramic ball valves:

Usuaully the ceramic ball valves materials are alumina ceramic and zirconia ceramic, silicon carbide ceramic, silicon nitride ceramic and so on.As the professional ceramic bushing bearing manufacturer, we trust c-ceramic will be your reliable partner.

Alumina Ceramic:

1.They have high mechanical strength. The flexural strength of sintered alumina ceramic products can reach 250MPa, and that of hot-pressed products can reach 500MPa. The strength can be maintained up to 900℃ at high temperatures.

2. High alumina ceramics have a high resistivity and excellent electrical insulation performance. The resistivity at room temperature is 1015Ω·cm, and the insulation strength is 15kV/mm.

3.High hardness, with a Mohs hardness of 9.

zirconia ceramic

1.Zirconia ceramics have high strength and good toughness, and can be made into mechanical parts such as push rods, connecting rods, ceramic bearings, ceramic cylinder liners and piston caps.

2.Zirconia ceramic have high hardness, with a Mohs hardness of 8.5 to 9.1.

Silicon nitride ceramic:

1.It is heat-resistant. Under normal pressure, Si3N4 has no melting point and decomposes directly at around 1870℃. It can resist oxidation up to 1400℃ and is actually used up to 1200℃(its mechanical strength will decrease above 1200℃).

2.Silicon nitride has high hardness and is wear-resistant. Its Mohs hardness is second only to that of diamond, cubic boron nitride, boron carbide and silicon carbide, and it is resistant to mechanical impact.

ceramic ball valves
Applications of Ceramic Ball Valves:
  1. Chemical Processing: In the chemical industry, ceramic ball valves are used to control the flow of corrosive liquids and gases. Their resistance to chemical reactions makes them ideal for handling a wide range of substances without the risk of degradation.
  2. Water Treatment: Ceramic ball valves are widely used in water treatment facilities due to their ability to resist corrosion and abrasion. They help regulate the flow of water and chemicals used in purification processes.
  3. Oil and Gas: In the oil and gas industry, ceramic ball valves are employed in various processes, including drilling and refining. Their durability and high-temperature resistance make them ideal for handling challenging materials.
