Silicon nitride ceramic has the most versatile combination of mechanical, thermal and electrical properties.


Features of silicon nitride ceramic:
1.It is heat-resistant. Under normal pressure, Si3N4 has no melting point and decomposes directly at around 1870℃. It can resist oxidation up to 1400℃ and is actually used up to 1200℃(its mechanical strength will decrease above 1200℃).
2.Silicon nitride has high hardness and is wear-resistant. Its Mohs hardness is second only to that of diamond, cubic boron nitride, boron carbide and silicon carbide, and it is resistant to mechanical impact.
Application of silicon nitride ceramic :
*High temperature bearings, mechanical seal rings, pipes and valves of electromagnetic pumps for conveying molten aluminum.
*Mechanical components such as gas turbine blades, mechanical seal rings, permanent molds.
*Diesel engine ignition device, engineering structural ceramics.
*Nitride ceramic copper clad substrate, used in automotive inverters, reducers, shock absorbers and other applications.
